Ingredients

  • raw rice - 2 cup
  • grated pumpkin - 1 cup
  • grated coconut - 1 cup
  • powdered jaggery - 1/5 cup
  • turmeric powder - 1/5 tsp
  • curds - 1/5 cup
  • cardamom powder - 1/5 tsp
  • oil to cook dosas
  • ghee or oil to cook dosa
  • salt to taste

How to Make Sweet Pumpkin Dosa

  • Soak rice in water for 2-3 hours.
  • Drain and grind till smooth using little water (the batter will become thinner when jaggery and curd is added)
  • Add coconut, pumpkin, jaggery, salt and curd and grind till smooth.
  • Add water if needed to make the consistency like usual dosa batter.
  • Add turmeric and cardamom powder.
  • Heat a non-stick tawa.
  • Pour a ladle of batter and spread to medium thickness.
  • Pour some oil or ghee on top.
  • When under side is cooked turn the dosa over, add little more oil or ghee and cook the other side.
  • Serve with honey.
