Ingredients

  • 2 onions
  • 5 ripened tomatoes
  • sprig of curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder
  • 2/3 green chillies
  • 1/4 cup of oil
  • Salt
  • For grinding:
  • 2 tsp aniseed
  • 1.5 tsp coriander seeds 6 garlic pods
  • 1 chilli powder

How to Make Tangy tomato gravy

  • Chop the onion and tomatoes finely. Cut the green chillies lengthwise.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add the green chillies and saute for a min.
  • Add the curry leaves, add the chopped onions along with little salt and turmeric powder. Saute them well.
  • Grind the ingredients listed under that section.
  • Now add the ground paste and saute until the raw smell is gone.
  • Finally, add the chopped tomatoes and allow it to cook on a low flame.
  • This gravy is thick in consistency. If needed you can also add a cup of water and bring it to boil.
