Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - almonds
  • 1/2 kg - white bread
  • 50 gms - butter
  • 1 tsp - caraway seeds
  • 3 - whole eggs
  • 2 cups - milk
  • 1/2 cup - plums
  • a little salt
  • 1/2 cup - sugar
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence

How to Make Teatime Bread Pudding

  • Break the bread into pieces and soak in milk for 15 minutes.
  • Wash the plums. Peel the almonds and cut into slices.
  • Clean the caraway seeds.
  • Mix the sugar and soaked bread and mash well.
  • Add the mashed mixture to slightly beaten eggs, plums, almonds, caraway seeds, vanilla, salt and butter and mix well.
  • Butter a bowl and pour the mixture in it.
  • Steam for 1.5 hours.
  • Serve with pudding sauce.
