Ingredients

  • 20 - Mini Idlis (leftover)
  • 1 - Onion (big and chopped)
  • 3 - Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp - Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam masala powder
  • 3 - Green chillies (slit opened)
  • 1 tsp - Red chilli powder
  • A few curry leaves
  • Salt
  • 2 - Whole spices (bay leaves, cloves and cinnamon stick)
  • 1/2 tsp - Fennel seeds
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Oil

How to Make Tomato Mini Idly Fry

  • Heat enough oil and fry the whole spices and fennel seeds.
  • Add the chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes with salt and saute until the vegetables get well-cooked
  • Add the garam masala powder, red chilli powder, slit opened green chillies, curry leaves and cook everything for a few minutes.
  • Now add the leftover mini idlis to the cooking masala and toss gently.
  • Add the chopped coriander leaves and cook for a few minutes on simmer. Serve hot.
