Ingredients

  • Rice - 2 cups
  • 1 inch - cinnamon stick
  • 3 - bay leaves
  • 5 - cloves
  • 5 - pepper corn
  • 1 - onion
  • 1 -tomato
  • 1 - bunch mint leaves
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Cumin - 1 tbsp
  • 2 - green chillies
  • Coriander for garnishing
  • Lemon juice- 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste.

How to Make Tomato-Mint Pulao

  • Cook rice with 4 cups of water in a rice cooker or pressure cooker with the whole spices. Let it cool.
  • In a kadai, pour oil and add cumin and fry till brown.
  • Add green chillies, onion, tomatoes and fry well.
  • Then add the rice and mix well.
  • Add salt, lemon juice and chopped pudina leaves. Mix well.
  • Garnish with coriander and serve.
