  • Urad Dal Flour-1 cup
  • Eno salt-1 tsp
  • Curd-1/2 cup
  • Salt-to taste
  • Mustard-1/2 tsp
  • Oil- 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida-1/2 tsp
  • Green Chilli-1
  • Red Chilli Powder-1/2 tsp
  • Curry Leaves-1 sprig
  • Coriander Leaves-a few

How to Make Urad Dal Dhokla

  • Mix urad dal flour in curd. Add salt and eno salt. Then, add water and mix to form a idli batter consistency.
  • Smear some oil on a flattened bowl like vessel and pour in the batter. Steam for 15 minutes.
  • In a pan, add oil, mustard seeds, asafoetida, red chilli powder and curry leaves. Pour in the tempering to the steamed dhokla. Cut in to squares and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
