  • 1 pack - Tofu (firm or extra firm)
  • 2 - onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 - Green Chillies (chopped or cut lengthwise)
  • 1 - big Tomato (chopped finely)
  • 1 - Capsicum (chopped into small cubes)
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli Powder or Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala
  • Salt - to taste
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • cilantro (finely chopped)

How to Make Veg Bhurji

  • Heat oil in a deep kadai or a non-stick pan. Add finely chopped onions, green chillies and saute them till onion is pink.
  • Add tomatoes, spices, salt and cook till the masala is well done.
  • Add capsicum (green pepper) and cook for 1-2 minutes in the masala.
  • Crumble the tofu into tiny pieces and add to the masala.
  • Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Then add a little chopped cilantro, mix it and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Serve it in a bowl garnished with chopped cilantro. Serve it with naans, parathas, rotis or bread.
