Ingredients

  • 750 g - potatoes
  • 2 -onion
  • 1/2 - lime
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1 - carrot
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - sugar
  • bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
  • 100 g - fresh beans
  • 100 g - green peas
  • 1/4 cup - mushrooms
  • 4-5 - green chillies
  • Coriander leaves -2 sprigs
  • 3 tbsp - green chutney.

How to Make Vegetable Pie

  • Boil the peeled potatoes and mash them after adding salt. Dice and boil rest of the vegetables.
  • Fry the onion in 2 tbsp oil till golden brown.
  • Put the boiled vegetables, mushrooms and cook for a while.
  • Season with finely chopped green chillies, lemon, sugar, salt and coriander leaves.
  • Grind the ingredients for the chutney.
  • Divide potato into 3 parts, the chutney and vegetables into 2 parts.
  • Grease a pie dish. Make a layer of mashed potato, chutney. Repeat and finish the layers with potato.
  • Sprinkle bread crumbs over it and dot with butter.
  • Bake in a moderate oven for 30-40 mins or till done or brown in colour.
  • Serve hot.
