Ingredients

  • Rice - 3 cups
  • Spinach - 1 bunch
  • Water - 6 cups
  • Butter - 1.5 tsp
  • Oil - 1.5 tsp
  • Cashews - 2 tsp
  • Onions - 1
  • Caraway seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Bay leaves - 2
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Mint leaves - 1/2 bunch
  • Green chillies - 3 to 4
  • Cloves- 4
  • Cinnamon - 3

How to Make Vegetarian Palak rice

  • Make a puree of spinach and mint leaves. Keep aside.
  • Now heat a pan with oil and add caraway seeds, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves and cashews.
  • Add onions and ginger paste to it.
  • Cook it until it becomes tender.
  • Add the puree and cook for some time.
  • Add rice, water and salt to it.
  • Now cook it until rice is done.
  • Serve.
