My name is Soundaram, I enjoy cooking I also like sharing some of my best recipes. I thought the Bawarchi site is the ideal site for this purpose. The following is the recipe of crispy beetroot pattice, it can be taken as an evening snack. Sounds interesting why not try it

Beet Root Pattice

Ingredients

Tur dal - one cup
Beet Root - 3
Onion - one (finely chopped)
Jeera - one teaspoon
Red Chilly - 5-6
Curry Leaves & coriander Leaves -finely chopped
Vegetable Oil - for deep frying
Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Soak the dal in water for an hour. Drain the water & grind it to paste with red chillies & jeera
  2. Peel the beet root & grate it finely.
  3. Add the grated beet root, salt to taste, chopped onions, curry leaves & coriander leaves to the dal paste & mix well. Make sure that the consistency of the dough is just right to make Tikkies.
  4. Roll them into nice tikkies & deep fry.
  5. Serve it hot with Tomato Sauce & coriander chutney.
