I am Madhavi again, my previous recipe was Rice korma. I like trying out different recipes and bawarchi has been of great help.

Kaddu Kofta Curry

Ingredients

Kaddu small one
Besan flour 1/2 cup
Green chillies 6 or 7
Coriander 1/2 bunch
Lime half

Gravy
Onions 2
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbs
Coriander powder 1tbs
Khas khas 4 tbs
Dry coconut
Tomatoes 2
Curd 1 cup
Chilli powder 2 tbs
Turmeric 1/4 tbs
Oil
Salt

Method

  1. Peel and grate kaddu and mix it with salt and keep it aside.
  2. Take a kadai and add 2 tbs oil to this add green chillies and besan flour and fry the flour for few minutes.
  3. Now squeez the kaddu removing water from it.
  4. Add this to the above mixture alongwith lime juice and make small balls (koftas) out of it.
  5. Now deep fry the koftas in oil and keep aside.

Method for Gravy Preparation

  1. Grind Khas khas and dry coconut into paste by adding water.
  2. Heat 2 tbs oil in a kadai and fry onions till they turn golden brown to this add garlic ginger paste, chilli powder, turmeric, dhania powder, and the ground paste fry for few minutes.
  3. Then add tomato and curd to the above and fry it for few minutes till the tomatoes are soft. To this add the koftas.

Serve hot with fried rice or plain rice.
