Spicy Chicken Birayani
Ingredients
Chicken - 1 Kg
Basmathi Rice - 400 gms
Onions - 6 (medium sized, thinely sliced)
Tomatoes - 4
Green Chillies - 8
Corainder, Mint leaves - 1 small bunch
Cinnamon - 2
Cloves - 6
Elachi - 2
Oil - 4 Tb.sp
Ginger, Garlic paste - 1 Tb.sp
Curd - 1 cup
Red chilli powder - 1 -1/2 Tsp
Dhania Powder - 1 Tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Kesar colour - 1 tsp
Ghee - 1 tsp
Salt - according to taste.
Method :
- Heat oil, add cinnamon, cloves and Elachi.
- Add Onions and fry till soft add Ginger, Garlic paste and fry for
another 2 more minutes.
- Add salt then add Green Chillies (whole) and fry.
- Add Chilli powder, Dhania powder and Turmeric powder and fry it well
until the raw smell goes.
- Add Tomatoes fry until it becomes soft add Corainder and mint
leaves.
- Add curd and mix it well.
- Add chicken pieces and fry for a minute.
- Add rice, and Kesar colour and mix it well, and check for a salt.
- Keep in a pressure cook and cook until done.
- Add ghee while serving.
