Beetroot Raita
Ingredients
1 Beet [ grated raw ]
Mustard seeds [ rai or mohari ]
Cumin seeds [ jeera ]
5 - 6 leaves of karipatta
4 - 5 tablespoons of yogurt [ curd ]
Asafoetida [ hing ]
1/4 tablespoon of green chilli [ finely chopped ]
2 tablespoons of ghee or oil
Sugar and salt [ as required ]
Preparation :
- First take 2 tablespoons of oil in a small pan.
- Heat the oil.
- Add Mustard and Cumin seeds and let them flutter.
- Add asafoetida and karipatta.
- Add finely chopped green chilli.
- Add the oil to grated beetroot.
- Add salt, sugar and curd to beetroot.
- Mix well.
Delicious beetroot raita is ready to eat.
