My name is Vidya Baliga. I live in Fremont, California with my husband Vasanth and daughter Nita. I enjoy cooking. Here is a recipe which is easy to make and nutritious.

Spinach Raita

Ingredients

1 can frozen spinach
1tsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 onion
1 green chilli
2 cups yoghurt
salt to your tast
Method

  1. Thaw frozen spinach in a casserole as per the directions and keep aside.
  2. Heat 1 tsp oil.
  3. Add cumin seeds.
  4. After 1 minute add finely chopped onion (1/2) and 1 green chilli split longitudinally. Fry til the onion looks transparent. Add this to the thawed spinach.
  5. Add yogurt, some water and salt.

Yummy spinach raita is ready. Enjoy!
