site and thereafter I have been a regular visitor. I would like to share
with you a traditional South Indian Raitha - very unique, easy to make,
and very tasty ! Try it!

Urad Dal Raitha
Ingredients
Urad Dal-1 1/2 tsp
Beaten thick Curd -1 big cup
Green Chillies chopped fine -2 or 3
Ginger chopped fine - 1 tsp
Hing-1 tsp
Jeera- 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves for garnish
Salt to taste
Oil-1 1/2 tsp
Method
- Dry roast the urad dal till slightly browned
- Powder the roasted urad dal in a mixie
- Take oil in a small kadai and season with mustard, jeera, hing,
green chillies and ginger
- Add the seasoning to the curd
- Also add the urad dal powder to the curd
- Add salt to taste and mix well
- Garnish with corriander leaves
Enjoy this raitha with Rice or Chappathis.
