I am Vaijayanti from Adelaide, Australia. I wish to share a recipe for
Broccoli subzi. This recipe is a blend of east and west tastes because it
is a western veggie cooked in Indian style.It does not take much time to
prepare..just right for hectic times.

Jhatpat Broccoli
Ingredients
2 cups Broccoli florets
1 medium sized Onion,finely chopped
1/2 tbsp crushed Garlic
2 or 3 green medium/Hot Chillies, finely chopped
A pinch of Garam Masala
1 tbsp Cumin seeds
3 tbsps Oil to fry
Salt to taste
Method:
- Microwave the Broccoli florets till they lose their rawness and become
slightly soft.
- Heat oil in pan, add cummin seeds.
After the seeds splutter, add the chopped onion and crushed garlic.
Fry till onion becomes transparent.
- Add the chopped green chillies.
Add the broccoli florets, mix well and cover and steam the mixture for
about 5 minutes on medium flame.
Remove the cover, add the garam masala, salt and cook for another 3-4
minutes.
- Serve hot with chapatis.
Serves: 2.
