Siam Ke Chaawal

Ingredients

1 cup basmati rice
Salt as per taste
1 tsp haldi
3 green onions
2 onions
3 green mirchi
2 cup chicken pieces
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp curry powder
1 tsp soy sauce
pinch of ajinomoto
chopped kothmeer

Method:

  1. Boil Water. Add haldi (lots) & salt.
  2. When it starts boiling, add washed basmati rice.
  3. Let the rice cook. Once rice is done, drain the water out and let it cool by laying it down in an aluminum foil.
  4. Cut some green onions, regular onions and green mirchi.
  5. Cut chicken into medium to small pieces.
  6. In a seperate vessel, add some oil...and add chicken to it.
  7. Let the chicken cook a little bit and then add a good amount of curry powder (make sure you use a brand called "Pure hot curry Powder"..you can buy it at many chinese stores...don't alternate with other curry powder or the taste won't be as good) Mix well.
  8. Then add the regular onion and fry a little bit till it gets soft.
  9. Once thats done add this masala on top of the rice and also add all the following ingredients on top of the rice soy sauce, green mirchi, ajino moto, salt, green onion and kothmeer Mix well and enjoy..(The green onions are supposed to raw in this dish. That is what brings the taste)
