Potato Raita

Ingredients

2 medium sized grated boiled Potatoes
Jeera - 1 pinch
Oil - 1/2 spoon
1 small Green Chilly
Asafoetida [hing] - 1 pinch
Curry leaves [kadipatta]
Yoghurt - 4 tbspns.
Sugar - 1/2 spoon
Salt - as per taste

For garnishing:

Dalchini powder - 1 pinch
Rock Salt - 1 pinch
Red Chilli powder - 1 pinch
Black Pepper powder - 1 pinch

Method:

  1. Mix the boiled grated potatoes with yoghurt, sugar and salt.
  2. In a kadai heat oil. Fry jeera till brown. Add green chilly, curry leaves and asafoetida. Add the tadka on the potatoes.
  3. Garnish with the above garnishing.
  4. Serve chilled with Parathas / Rice.
