Aloo Paratha

Ingredients

1. 2 Cups wheat floor.
2. Salt to taste.
3. Sugar.
4. Oil.
5. 2-3 Potatoes.
6. Chilli powder.
7. Cumin seeds.
8. Water to knead.

Method for Dough:

  1. Mix the dry flour properly with salt and sugar.
  2. Then add little oil.
  3. Knead with water.
  4. Make soft pliable dough, keep for 30 minutes before using.
  5. Make small balls.

For filling:

  1. Boil the potatoes and peel the skin.
  2. Mash the potatoes nicely.
  3. Add a pinch of salt, chilli powder and cumin seeds.
  4. After adding all of the above Mash again.

Method to prepare parathas:

  1. Take a small ball of dough and roll a thick roti about 4" diameter.
  2. Place a handful of filling at center.
  3. Brings the ends to the center from 4 or 5 points.
  4. Overlap ends so they do not leave an opening.
  5. Press gently, dust with dry flour, and proceed to roll.

Frying the parathas:

  1. Heat a heavy griddle, place paratha on it.
  2. Allow one side to cook have brown golden patches.
  3. Turn repeat for other side. Drizzle some oil and flip.
  4. Drizzle oil on other side. Sizzle till done.
  5. Serve hot with Tomato Ketchup, Chutneys.
