Green Beans Curry
Ingredients
a) 1/2 lb Green Beans
b) 4 tbs. Oil
c) 1/4 tsp. Mustard seeds
d) 1/4 tsp. Asafoetida powder (Hing)
e) 1 tsp. Sugar
f) 1 tsp. Sesame seeds
g) 1 tsp. Salt
h) 1/4 tsp. Turmeric powder
i) 2 tbs. Cumin/Coriander powder
j) 2-3 Green Chillies
k) 1 clove Garlic
l) 2 Tomatoes
m) 1/4 cup Cilantro chopped
n) 1/4 cup chopped Onions
Method:
- Blend items (h)-(n). Keep it aside.
- Wash beans, cut it into 2 inch pieces and slice length wise. Cook beans
and when it is tender add 1/4 tsp. salt to the cooked beans. Mix well.
- In a pan fry in oil mustard seeds, asafoetida. Add the cooked beans, the blended paste, and salt. Keep stirring till it's sort of dry. Add sugar and sesame seeds. Mix well and serve.
