Hi, I am Deepa and I live in Rochester, NY with my husband and 4 months old daughter. I am a fan of your site through which I have learnt many new dishes. Capsicum masala curry is something that I tried out of my own through my creative juice (not in the ingredient list!!) and is a popular dish amongst our friends and relatives. This can be had as a side dish with rice or chapatti. So, here you go..

Capsicum Masala Curry

Ingredients

4 Large Capsicums
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp dhania powder
2 tbsp besan powder
1/4 tsp dry tamarind powder
Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cut the capsicums into small pieces.
  2. Season the mustard seeds, cumin seeds & turmeric powder.
  3. Add the cut capsicums and saute.
  4. Add chilli powder and cook it covered for 5 minutes and then cook it open till it is almost done.
  5. Add salt, cinnamon powder, dhania powder and the besan powder.
  6. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly & leave it on the stove for 5 mins and its all done.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
