Chicken Stuv

Ingredients

Chicken : 1 Kg.
Cooking oil or coconut oil : required qty
Big onions : 3nos.
Small onions : a handful
Ginger : Big piece finely chopped
Garlic : 4 pods finely chopped
Green chilly : 6 nos. finely chopped
Mustard : 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder : 1 teaspoon heaped
Chilly powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala Powder : 1 teaspoon
Coconut milk : required quantity
Potato : 1 medium size
Tomato : 2 nos. (medium)
Coriander & Curry leaves : 1 bunch
Turmeric : 1/2 teaspoon
Salt : to taste

Method:

  1. First fry ginger & garlic, then big onions & green chilly.
  2. Fry well & add coriander, red chilly, garam masala & turmeric powders & fry.
  3. After frying add one tomato & sauti little.
  4. Then add chicken pieces & stir in low flame for 2-3 minutes.
  5. After that add little coconut milk diluted with boiling water & salt & when it starts boiling add potato & after 5 minutes add a tomato & boil.
  6. When chicken gets cooked, add thick coconut milk & simmer in medium flame.
  7. When a foam forms on the surface, stop fire.
  8. Finally fry mustard, small onions, coriander & curry leaves & add.
