Garden Burger (Indian style)

Ingredients

1 cup cooked carrot
1 cup cooked beans
1 cup cooked peas
1 1/2 cup cooked & mashed potatoes
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp of turmeric
1 slice of white bread
1 pinch of garam masala
1 tsp red chili powder
2 tbsp Cilantro chopped
Salt as per taste
1 tsp pepper powder
4 tbsp all purpose flour
4 tbsp bread crumps
Oil to deep fry

Method:

  1. Drain all excess water from cooked vegetables and mix all the vegetables together, then add 1/2 tsp of chili powder,1/2 tsp of turmeric,garam masala,pepper powder,lemon juice,cilantro and salt and make small balls and shape that balls in the form of cutlet.keep it aside.
  2. Take one slice of white bread dip it in water and squeeze the water then add to the vegetables to bind the mixture.
  3. Take a plate, mix together all purpose flour,bread crumps,remaining 1/2 tsp of chili powder and turmeric.
  4. Roll the cutlet in the all purpose flour mixture and deep fry.Keep it in the freezer and use it when required.

To Proceed for Burger

1 Burger Bun
1/2 Cucumber, round thinly sliced
1/2 Tomato, round thinly sliced
1/2 onion, rings
1 Lettuce leaf
1 cabbage leaf
1 cup shredded cheese
Dry roast black pepper and jeera and grind. Store this powder in an airtight container and use when required.

How to proceed:

  1. Cut the buns horizontally.
  2. Sprinkle cheese on both the buns equally and microwave for 20 sec just to melt the cheese.
  3. Take the bun from microwave and then sprinkle roasted black pepper and jeera powder on both the bun.
  4. Equally divide the vegetables and arrange half the vegetable over one bun and half the vegetables on another.
  5. Keep one cutlet between the bun and carefully cover the bun.
  6. Enjoy eating.

Tips for using roasted black pepper and jeera powder

  1. Sprinkle this powder over boiled egg or half fry(bull's eye) with little bit of salt.
  2. Boil potatoes,spread some salted butter over potato and then sprinkle this powder,it will taste awesome.
  3. Sprinkle this powder over dahi vada.
  4. Cut pineapple into pieces, sprinkle this powder with little red chili powder and salt. (Oh!you have to try this..)
  5. Sprinkle this powder between vegetable sandwich.
  6. Sprinkle it on Boondi Raita or any plain raita.
  7. Sprinkle it on french fries.
  8. Cut cucumber into to two half, vertically.Then sprinkle this powder with little red chili powder and black salt.Excellent taste.
