Peanuts-Lauki
Ingredients
1/2 Lauki (bottle gourd) cut into cubes
Handful of peanuts(roasted)
3 Green Chillies chopped (depends on your taste!)
2 tablespoon channa daal
1/2 teaspoon Garlic-Ginger paste
1/2 teaspoon Garam-Masala Powder
Asafoetida (a pinch)
Turmeric powder (a pinch)
1/2 teaspoon Cumin-Mustard seeds
2 tbsp chopped Coriander leaves
1 tablespoon of oil
Salt to taste
Method:
- First roast the peanuts and take out the outer cover.
- Now add these peanuts and green chillies in a mixy with little water and make fine paste.
- Now heat oil in a pan.when heated add cumin-mustard seeds.
- When this starts spluttering add asafoetida,paste of peanuts and green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and fry for 3 minutes.
- Then add cubes of lauki(bottle gourd) and fry for 3-4 mins.
- Then add channa daal, garam-masala & salt to taste.
- Add 1 and 1/2 cup water and let it boil for 5-8 minutes by stirring in between.
- Cook till the Lauki(bottle gourd) cubes becomes soft.
Serve hot with rice or chapattis.
