Hi,

My name is Smita and this is the recipe for "Palak Soup". This is a low calorie, rich in iron and fiber diet. The best part about this soup is that it tastes good too.

Palak Soup

Ingredients

1 Onion
2 Tomatoes
1 Bundle of palak
3 Green Chilli
1 1/2 teaspoon Garlic - Ginger paste
4 garlic flakes (finely minced); 1 bundle of Fresh Palak (Spinach)
1/2 cup of milk
1 cup of loose corn
1/2 teaspoon of ghee
salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cut onion, tomatoes, green chilli and palak.
  2. Boil the chopped onion and tomatoes with little water for about 10 to 15 mins.
  3. Boil palak, green chilli and garlic-ginger paste the same way for about 15 mins.
  4. Blend all of the boiled ingredients together to a smooth pulp.
  5. Heat the ghee in a pot and fry the minced garlic for a minute.
  6. Add the pulp, corn, salt and bring to boil.
  7. Add milk and boil for 5 to 10 mins.
  8. Serve hot !
