Hi my name is Namrata D'souza I stay in Winston Salem in North Carolina with my husband Arum....who loves north Indian food and hence I keep trying different dishes for him..chicken razila is one of his favorite dishes.. it is easy to make and very tasty too...do try it and let me know how it turns out....if ull have any question on the following do not hesitate to email me regarding the same....

Chicken Razila

Ingredients

1.200 GRM. Chicken(Breast and Leg pieces or boneless )
1/2 kg onion(cut into thin long slices)
One big bunch of dhaniya
7 green chillies ( cut into small pieces)
6 elachi
10 kismis
5 teaspoons ginger garlic paste
1tsp dhania powder
1/2 tsps haldi, salt to taste
2 tsps dahi

Method:

  1. Apply salt to the onions and keep aside for 5 minutes.
  2. Then squeeze out all the water from the onions and deep fry till golden brown.
  3. Grind fried onion dahi elachi and kismis into fine paste.
  4. In a pan take heat oil add ginger garlic paste,dhaniya  powder,chillies, haldi and salt fry for some time
  5. Add chicken and fry for some time till it become little brown then add the onion paste and cook till it leaves oil
  6. Then put hara dhaniya put little water and cook till done.
  7. Gravy should be thick.
  8. Lastly add lime juice and serve
