Hi,
I'm Srikala Sundaresan from Muscat.Here is another recipe that I wud like to share with u all.Its MORE KHADI.Very simple to make. Goes well with plain rice(and papads ofcourse!!) & chapathis too.I learnt this dish from my mother! Pls send in ur comments.

More Khadi

Ingredients

Onions - 2 nos.
Potato - 4 nos. medium sized
More - 2 cups (curd churned into more -for those who don't follow - take thick curd (1 cup) and add little water - beat well,till it mixes.)Don't make it too watery!
Coconut - 1/2 cup(grated)
Green chilli - 3 or 4 nos
Pottu kadalai - 2 tbsp
Caradamom - few
Cloves - a few nos
Ghee - 1tsp
Oil - few tsp

METHOD

  1. Cut onions lengthwise.
  2. Boil potatoes and cut them in the form of cubes.
  3. Fry elachi and cardamom in a little ghee and keep aside.
  4. Grind grated coconut,green chilli,pottu kadhalai,fried cardamom and cloves all together.
  5. Add the ground mixture(the paste)to the more, mix well and keep aside.
  6. In the meanwhile,saute onions in little oil till it turns golden brown and then add boiled potatoes to that.Mix well.
  7. Finally add this more, to the onion and potato mixture.
  8. Let this be on the flame for a few mins,till one boil comes.(pls keep the flame in simmer).
  9. Remove from flame and serve hot.
