A few basic pointers in looking after and maintaining the accompaniments in great condition:
- Refrigerate the jar after you have opened it.
- Mouths of jars may be sealed with molten wax for longer keeping time.
- Never use a wet spoon to remove a helping from the jar.
- Never leave metallic spoons, ladles, etc. inside the jar, for any length of time, these will deteriorate the quality of the contents.
- Wash hands, and dry them well before removing contents from a jar.
- Always close lid tightly after using contents.
