Ingredients:2 firm cooking apples
2 flakes garlic
1" piece ginger, grated finely
1 tsp. chilli powder
salt to taste
2 cloves
1 tbsp. raisins
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup white vinegarMETHOD:
- Put sugar,water, vinegar, in a pan.
- Bring to a boil, add cloves.
- Slice (peel if desired) apples into 1 inch chips.
- Add to boiling liquid.
- Add all other ingredients.
- Simmer till the apple are cooked and the solution gets sticky.
- Bottle in sterile jar.
- Serve with hot scones, buns, or with canapés.
Making time: 30 minutes
Makes: 250 gms. Approx.
