Sauces for Icecreams and Cakes
Sauces from Canned Fruits
Pineapple Custard Sauce

1 cup syrup from the tin
2 tsp pineapple custard powder
3 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp pineapple essence
2 slices very finely chopped tinned pineapple

Method

Mix syrup & cornflour in a heavy pan. Cook on low heat, stirring continuously, till mixture turns transparent, and coats the back of a spoon.

Add pineapple bits, essence and stir. Serve warm.

Variations

Use canned litchies, mixed fruit, cherries etc. instead of grapes. Change the flour of the custard powder respectively.

Use few drops colour where desired.
