Ingredients
10 thin plain soup sticks
5 slices soft white bread
1/2 tsp. garlic paste
1 tsp. mint leaves finely chopped
1 tsp. coriander leaves finely chopped
1/2 tsp poppy seeds
1 tbsp. grated cheese
1/2 tsp. paprika or 1/4 tsp. red chilli crushed coarsely
salt to taste
1 tbsp. dry bread crumbs
2 tbsp. milkMethod
- Remove stiff crusts of bread slices if any.
- Mix all ingredients except sticks, slices, milk.
- Cut each slice into 2 rectangular halves.
- Sprinkle some milk on a slice, allow to moisten.
- Press gently with a rolling pin to thin down.
- Place one stick at one long end of rectangle.
- Roll carefully, to cover stick with slice.
- Roll this in the mixture, careful not to open it.
- Arrange on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake in a hot oven, at 180oC till slices are crisp and golden.
- Serve hot with soups.
