Baking sodaMethod
- Drain 1/2 can corn, saving the liquid in a vessel.
- Transfer drained corn to an electric mixer.
- Add 2 green chillies, 1 sprig mint leaves, 1 tsp. coriander leaves.
- Crush well, add very little saved liquid, only if required.
- Add to remaining saved corn liquid.
- Run 1 slice of bread in mixie, to make crumbs.
- Add to corn mixture.
- Add 1 cup plain flour, salt, 1 tbsp. oil, 1/2 tsp. baking soda.
- Mix well till no lumps of flour remain.
- Heat a greased waffle iron, do not overheat.
- Pour a ladleful of mixture in centre, depending on size of iron.
- Close and allow to become crisp and golden on both sides.
- Serve hot with chutneys or ketchup or even honey.
