Grated ginger
Green chillies

Samosa dough
Bread slicesMethod
- Drain one tin sweet corn kernels in colander for some time.
- Crush coarsely in a small mixie, without water, keep aside.
- Heat 1 tsp. butter, add 1 tsp.grated ginger, 3 green chillies chopped, stir.
- Add corn kernels, stir and sauté for 4-5 minutes.
- Add salt to taste, 2 sprigs mint leaves, finely chopped.
- Take off fire, cool to warm.
- Add 2 slices bread crumbled coarsely.
- Sprinkle pepper to taste, mix lightly.
- Prepare 1 recipe dough as for samosas
- Divide dough into small portions, roll to a thin round.
- Place a tsp. of mixture in centre, lift edges, making a pouch.
- Twist at neck to keep from opening out.
- Tie with dough shaped like string.
- Deepfry in hot oil, till crisp and golden.
Or:
- Roll fresh slices of bread with rolling pin.
- Keep in moist cloth for a few minutes.
- Place a tsp. mixture in centre of slice.
- Mould into a pouch, fry as above.
