Description: 

Chicken is a common domestic fowl and belongs to the bird class of animals.  All breeds of chicken come from the same genus, species, and subspecies of bird.  Chicken is one of the most popular foods in the world. It is a lean source of protein that contains essential nutrients and vitamins.  Organic chicken is hormone and antibiotic free. Chicken is perhaps best known for its high protein content, but it is a food that actually provides broad nutrient support.

Commonly used in: 

Chicken is used to make soups, curries, stews, tandoori, grilled, baked, fried and in salads.

Health benefit: 

Chicken is rich in niacin (vitamin B3), a vitamin that is essential for cancer protection and also protects against Alzheimer's disease and dementia.  The vitamin B6 in chicken keeps the homocysteine levels low. The selenium helps to keep thyroid function normal, helps to lose weight, and boosts energy levels.
