Description:
The brown bark of the cinnamon tree is dried and rolled. This forms a quill or the commonly termed, cinnamon sticks. There are two varieties of available, Ceylon and Chinese(Cassia). The Ceylon stick being more flavourful and is scarcely available.
Commonly used in:
Used mainly for flavouring in sweet and savoury dishes and medicinal purposes.
Health benefit:
Good source of Manganese, Calcium and fiber.
