Suran, Jimikand, Suvarna gedde, Senai kizhangu, Kanda gadda

Elephant yam is a tuber used as a vegetable. The plant from which this tuber is derived is huge, like a foot of an elephant, hence the name elephant yam.

Yam is used in curries, side dishes and other savouries.
