Mace is a outer covering of the fruit on a Nutmeg plant. It is a lacy aril removed from the outer shell of the nutmeg, it is dried and forms a yellowish brown mace.

Commonly used in:
Apart from culinary uses for flavouring, it is also used in perfumes and pharmaceutical uses.
