Nutmeg is the kernel in the fruit of a Nutmeg plant. The outer husk is removed and then the Mace is carefully removed and dried. The kernel once dried is broken and the shriveled nutmeg is removed

It is mainly used in sweet, savoury dishes and masalas but also adds flavours in soups, salads, wines and some cocktails.
Health benefit:
Good source of many minerals like copper, potassium, calcium, manganese, iron, zinc and magnesium. It is also has -complex vitamins, including vitamin C, folic acid, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin A. It is used for medicinal purposes in Chinese and Indian traditions to cure various diseases such as pain in tooth, massage oils to reduce joints and muscular pain.
