Commonly used in: The tomato is consumed in different ways, including raw. It’s a key ingredient in bakes, curries, sauces, salads and drinks.
Health Benefits: Tomatoes are a good source of vitamin A and C. Tomatoes, tomato sauces and puree are said to help lower urinary tract symptoms. They also have anti cancer properties. Some claim that eating tomatoes can also help reduce cardiovascular risk associated with type 2 diabetes.
