  • Ginger - 3-inch piece
  • Ajwain - 1 tbsp
  • Green chillies (optional) - 6/7, medium
  • Rock salt - To taste
  • Curd - 3 cups
  • Water - 3 cups

How to Make Adrak and Ajwain Flavoured Lassi

  • Peel and wash and finely dice the adrak.
  • Put the adrak, ajwain and chillies through a spice grinder to make a coarse paste.
  • Put the curd and water in the blender for a couple of minutes to make a Lassi.
  • Mix in the adrak, ajwain and chillies paste.
  • Add rock salt to taste.
  • Leave to soak for about 2 hours and then sieve out the flavouring.
  • Cool in the fridge and dilute some more with water before drinking.
