Ingredients

  • For deep frying:
  • 4 medium sized - Potatoes (cut into bite sized pieces)
  • 1 tsp - soya sauce
  • 1 tsp - chilli sauce
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder (according to taste)
  • 2 tsp - Corn flour
  • a pinch - ajinomoto
  • salt to taste
  • For the gravy:
  • 2 tsp - Curd
  • 2 sprigs - coriander and Mint
  • 2 - Green chillies
  • 2 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • a pinch - red color

How to Make Allu Manchuria

  • Mix the ingredients for deep frying and keep aside for 2 minutes.
  • Deep fry and keep aside for later use.
  • Grind all the gravy ingredients into a thick paste. Don't add a lot of water.
  • Fry the gravy in 4 tsp of oil with curry leaves and garlic cloves till the gravy gets thick and the oil separates
  • Add the fried potatoes and fry on simmer for 4min.
  • Variation: The same curry can be replaced with cauliflower or chicken.
  • Serve with steamed rice and ghee.
