  • 1/2 litre - whole Milk
  • 1/4 cup - Sugar
  • 1/4 cup - rice, washed and soaked in water for 30 mins
  • 10-15 - Almonds blanched, peeled and chopped
  • 5 to 10 - Kaju and Kismis
  • 2-3 cardamoms, powdered
  • How to Make Almond and Rice Kheer:

    1. Heat 1/2 cup water, add rice when it starts boiling.
    2. When most of the water has evaporated, add milk. Bring to a boil.
    3. Add sugar, simmer till rice is fully cooked to a dalia consistency.
    4. It should be of thin porridge consistency.
    5. Add most of the chopped nuts, dry fruits and cardamom.
    6. Serve chilled garnished with grapes.
