  • 1/2 cup - Almond
  • 1/2 cup - Cashew nuts
  • 1 cup - Ghee
  • 1/4 tsp - yellow food color
  • 1 cup - Sugar or adjust to your taste
  • How to Make Almond Cashew Halwa:

    1. Soak almonds overnight and remove skin.
    2. With a little water, grind almonds to a fine paste. Keep aside.
    3. Dry roast cashews till golden brown.
    4. Cool and then finely powder. Keep aside.
    5. In a pan, prepare sugar syrup with one cup of water for one cup of sugar.
    6. Once the sugar syrup attains single string consistency, add yellow food colour, almond paste followed by cashew powder.
    7. Turn it to medium flame. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
    8. After a few minutes, add ghee a little by little while stirring.
    9. When the halwa leaves the sides of the pan, switch off the stove.
    10. When warm, place one tbsp of halwa in a small rectangular cut butter paper. Fold the paper.
    11. You can either serve halwa in a folded butter paper or as such.
