Ingredients

  • 4 - medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 kg - cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1- tomato, cut into slices
  • 2 tsp - Curd
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Coriander seed powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seed powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric
  • A pinch of Asafoetida
  • 3 tsp - cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • How to Make Aloo Gobi in Curd based Masala:

    1. Heat oil in a kadai and add chilli powder, cumin seed powder, coriander seed powder, asafoetida and turmeric powder.
    2. Add the potato cubes.
    3. When the potatoes are coated with the mixture, add the cauliflower.
    4. Stir well.
    5. Add salt and a little water.
    6. Cover the kadai and simmer on a low flame.
    7. When cooked, add tomato and curd and stir well for about a minute.
    8. Remove from flame and garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
