  • 4 - medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 kg - cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1- tomato, cut into slices
  • 2 tsp - curd
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander seed powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seed powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • 3 tsp - cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing

How to Make Aloo Gobi in Curd based Masala

  • Heat oil in a kadai and add chilli powder, cumin seed powder, coriander seed powder, asafoetida and turmeric powder.
  • Add the potato cubes.
  • When the potatoes are coated with the mixture, add the cauliflower.
  • Stir well.
  • Add salt and a little water.
  • Cover the kadai and simmer on a low flame.
  • When cooked, add tomato and curd and stir well for about a minute.
  • Remove from flame and garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
