Ingredients

  • Medium-sized Potatoes - 4
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Ghee - 1/2 cup
  • Saffron - 1 pinch
  • Chopped Cashewnuts - 1 tbsp
  • Powdered cardamom - 1 tsp

How to Make Aloo Halwa

  • Peel and grate potatoes.
  • Boil in milk till tender and thick.
  • Mash well.
  • Add sugar and cook on a slow fire.
  • Add ghee, cashewnuts, powdered cardamom and saffron and blend well.
  • When the mixture begins to leave the pan, remove from fire.
  • Transfer it to a greased tray.
