Ingredients

  • Medium-sized Potatoes - 4
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Ghee - 1/2 cup
  • Saffron - 1 pinch
  • Chopped Cashewnuts - 1 tbsp
  • Powdered Cardamom - 1 tsp
  • How to Make Aloo Halwa:

    1. Peel and grate potatoes.
    2. Boil in milk till tender and thick.
    3. Mash well.
    4. Add sugar and cook on a slow fire.
    5. Add ghee, cashewnuts, powdered cardamom and saffron and blend well.
    6. When the mixture begins to leave the pan, remove from fire.
    7. Transfer it to a greased tray.
