Ingredients

  • 250 g - potatoes, boiled, mashed roughly
  • 1 tbsp - vegetable oil
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 - ginger, one inch piece, julienned
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1.25 cups - tomato puree, fresh
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 3 - dry red chillies

How to Make Aloo Ki Khatti Tarkari

  • Heat the oil in a pan.
  • Add asafoetida, ginger, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder. Saute for a while.
  • Add the potatoes and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add the tomato puree, salt, and green chillies.
  • Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped dry red chillies.
  • Serve hot.
