How to Make Aloo Mutter (Potatoes and Peas Curry)

  • In a non-stick pan, heat some oil (ghee/butter) and add the onions.
  • Saute them for 1 min, add ginger garlic paste, chillies and saute some more till the onions turn translucent.
  • Add all the spices along with salt and bay leaf and saute them for 2 to 3 mins.
  • Add the potatoes and cook for another 2 to 3 mins.
  • Add the tomatoes, stir for another 1 min and add a cup of water and close the lid. Cook for 4 to 5 mins.
  • Add the peas and cook till all the water has been absorbed and potatoes are tender.
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice.
