Ingredients

  • 2 - large Potatoes
  • 1.5 cup - spinach, chopped finely
  • 2 - Green chillies
  • 1/8 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp - mustard
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin
  • 1 spring - Curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp - Ginger -garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp - white sesame seeds
  • A pinch - Turmeric and Asafoetida
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Aloo palak dry:

    1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, cumin, curry leaves and green chillies, let them crackle
    2. Add ginger garlic paste, saute for a minute
    3. Add cubed potatoes, asafoetida, salt and turmeric, fry for a min
    4. Cover and cook till the potatoes are cooked fully, if required, sprinkle some water.
    5. Add chopped spinach and fry on high till all the moisture evaporates.
    6. Add sesame seeds fry for a minute
    7. Sprinkle pepper powder and toss
