Ingredients

  • 2 cups - medium-thin poha (flattened rice)
  • 1 cup - boiled and cubed potatoes
  • 1 cup - chopped capsicum
  • 1/2 cup - chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup - chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup - chopped coriander
  • 2.5 tbsp - lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp - sugar
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • A big pinch - hing
  • Oil

How to Make Aloo Pauwa (Poha)

  • Rinse poha well and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Heal oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds and hing.
  • Let it splutter well. Add chopped capsicum and onions.
  • Saute it for a while and add potatoes and poha.
  • Add salt, sugar, turmeric powder and lemon juice and mix well.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander, tomatoes and serve hot.
