Ingredients

  • 100 g - samvat Rice (also known as Parsai ke chawal)
  • 30g - Ghee
  • 10g - Cumin seeds
  • 2 - Cloves
  • 2 - green Cardamoms
  • 1 - large Potato (diced in small pieces)
  • 15g - Rock Salt (sendha Namak)
  • 100 ml - water
  • How to Make Aloo pulao:

    1. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, cloves and cardamom to the oil.
    2. When they give off fragrance, add potato and rice. Stir-fry to a light brown colour
    3. Add rock salt and water.
    4. Cover the pan and let it simmer on low flame for about 15 minutes.
    5. Garnish with green coriander leaves.
